This past week, the Cole Harbour C@P Site moved its email, and a few other internal services, to
Google Apps. For those who don't know, Google offers business, education and non-profit organisations a service which entails email and other services, hosted on their servers, but using the organisations domain.
For example, our main email account,

, is now hosted on Google's Servers, accessible through the familiar GMail interface. This gives us the streamlined look from having our own domain and proper email account, but it also allows us to offload some of the design and maintenance to a bigger company, Google.
So, what can this do for you? Well, for a small business or organisation owner, it means that you can have a simple setup for webmail, up to 50 users, using your own domain. The directions are quite straightforward, so anyone any administrator of a website can set it up. For more information, visit the Google Apps website.
